The National Coordinator, Atiku Abubakar Media Vanguard (AAMV), Hon. Peresine Watchman has stated that the survival of Nigeria as a nation lies in the hands of PDP Stakeholders and delegates to the party’s National Convention slated to hold between October 6-7, 2018, at Port Harcourt. He said the only hope Nigerians have for the country’s unity to be strengthened and democracy to survive, to change the APC change mantra with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who has democratic principles and nationalistic spirit to carry the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria along in his administration and uphold her constitution.
Peresine who made these remarks this Saturday at his residence in Asaba on the occasion of thanking God for keeping him alive to mark another birthday with family and friends.
He observed that the unity of Nigeria and democracy was being threatened by the outcome of the Ekiti and Osun States elections respectively, where the wills of the electorates were subverted.
Watchman said, “Nigerians are yearning for a Leader with democratic principles, credentials and nationalistic spirit to change the APC change mantra, which has failed Nigerians.
Nigerians have looked at these presidential aspirants in PDP and other political parties painstakingly and have seen that His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON is the only presidential aspirant with the needed leadership qualities.Hehas presented his blue-print to get Nigeria working again, which other presidential aspirants have not done.”
We are asking the leadership of our great party to wake up from its slumber and be fully prepared to defend Nigeria and her democracy it helped nurture to maturity.
They should stop their hallucination that every Tom, Dick and Henry aspiring for the PDP presidential ticket will able to withstand the wrath of the APC in the 2019 general elections.
According to Hon. Watchman “the subversion of the votes/wills of the electorates in Ekiti and Osun States elections respectively, call for national concern and it’s only Atiku’s emergence as presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, can stop the power that be from repeating these acts against Nigeria and Nigerians.”
He said the youths who are advocating for youth as President in 2019 should exercise patience and give their supports to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar because the 2019 general elections will be too fierce for a youth without national and international connections, visible and formidable political structures, and the resources to match the leading party, to win the elections.
If Atiku is elected President, he will train the youths for leadership position to take over from him. Atiku is a youth friendly Leader and he will appoint the youths into key positions in his government.
I am very optimistic that the Waziri Adamawa will clinch the party’s ticket and win the general elections, to get Nigeria working again.
Peresine Watchman warned the moles in the PDP who are planning to betray the party during the presidential primaries and the general elections to remember what happened to those PDP Leaders who betrayed Ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and rescind their evil thoughts against the party.
