The Federal Government’s effort to achieve its roadmap on incremental, stable and uninterrupted power supply and implementation of Power Sector Recovery Programmer (PRSR), received a boost as it has today, Friday, 24th November, 2017, initiated the 40MW Dadin kowa Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), with Mabon Power Limited, (PPA), for the Dadin kowa Mini Hydro Power Project in Yamaltu Local Government Area of Gombe State.
While assuring the company of government’s support and urging other investors to emulate Mabon Power Limited, the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Office, Nigerian bulk Electricity Trading Company (NBET), Dr. Marilyn Amobi stated that with this initialization, the company would accelerate the completion of the project that would eventually add about 40MW to the National Grid.
Responding, the Project Development Consultant, Mabon Power Limited, Christopher Cyril, commended NBET and assured government that the project would be completed on schedule. He further disclosed that the project has reached 80% completion, saying with the initialization of the PPA, the company would seek for more financial viability to complete it.
