BPP DG, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, Felicitates President Tinubu at Birthday; Reaffirms Commitment to Procurement Reforms and “Value for Money”

The Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, has extended warm felicitations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on the occasion of his birthday, describing the President as a “visionary leader and the architect of a modern, fiscally responsible Nigeria.”

In a statement released on Sunday, March 29th, Dr. Adedokun highlighted that the President’s Renewed Hope agenda has provided a transformative blueprint for the Bureau. He noted that the administration’s focus on institutional reform has empowered the BPP to strengthen its oversight functions, ensuring transparency and maximum value for every Naira spent in the public interest.

“As we celebrate His Excellency today, we are reminded of the high standards of accountability he has set for the nation,” the Director-General stated. “At the Bureau, we remain deeply inspired by the President’s commitment to transparency—principles that serve as the bedrock of our efforts to modernize Nigeria’s procurement systems.”

Driving Digital Transformation
The felicitation comes at a time when the BPP is aggressively pushing its digital transition. Under the guidance of the Presidency, the Bureau has recently streamlined procurement processes to improve economic resilience and global competitiveness.

Dr. Adedokun emphasized that the Bureau’s primary mission—maximizing value for every Naira spent—is a direct reflection of the President’s mandate to eliminate waste and ensure that public resources directly benefit the Nigerian people.

A Future of Prosperity
The statement concluded with a prayer for the President’s continued health and wisdom. “May Almighty God continue to grant Your Excellency the divine strength to steer our great nation toward a future of enduring prosperity. We at the BPP remain steadfast in our loyalty and dedicated to the successful execution of the national reform agenda.”

The Bureau also encouraged stakeholders and the general public to visit its portal to view the ongoing progress of procurement reforms, highlighting the BPP’s transition toward a paperless and more accessible governance structure.
