PRESS RELEASE

BPP DG INSISTS ON DIGITAL SUBMISSION

In line with the Federal Government’s digital transition initiative and paperless governance strategy, and sequel to the Bureau of Public Procurement’s Circular Referenced BPP/DG/2026/583, dated February 18, 2026, themed: “Transition to the BPP Submission Portal for all Official Correspondence and Requests”, the Director-General/CEO, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, FCIPS, has announced the mandatory submission of requests, insisting that no more physical submission.

Dr. Adedokun emphasised that the Digital Submission Portal is a web-based and automated platform that enables all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), as well as vendors, contractors, consultants and service providers, to submit all relevant requests and procurement -related details to BPP, to enhance transparency, upgrade operational workflows, eliminate bureaucratic delays, and reinforces accountability across public procurement.

The DG BPP reiterated that this migration marks the phase-out of manual filings and physical document submissions for all correspondences, projects requests, and procurement filings. The Bureau would no longer receive manual submissions. Details of submission website are in the circular.

He urged all Accounting Officers in MDAs and Stakeholders to ensure their Procurement and ICT departments align operational procedures with the digital portal. He added that the concerned public should give the circular maximum compliance.
