*Bureau of Public Procurement strengthens collaboration with Galaxy Backbone for effective working relations.*
The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) is collaborating with Galaxy Backbone for effective working relations.
The Ag. Director- General, Bureau of Public Procurement, Barrister Olusegun Omotola pledged the support of the Bureau to the Galaxy backbone. He expressed delight that Galaxy backbone is taking steps to resolved issues that were impeding their successes. Adding that, all hands must be on deck to close the gaps and enhance productivity of services to achieve President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda for economic development.
The team from Galaxy Backbone paid BPP a courtesy visit on Thursday 11 July 2024.
Barrister Olusegun encouraged Galaxy Backbone to also collaborate with the National Information technology Development Agency (NITDA) and other stakeholders for continuous cooperation for greater results. He stressed that, all loopholes has to be blocked to enable them succeed in their tasks.
Earlier, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Galaxy Backbone Mr. Ibrahim Adepoju Adeyanju said, Galaxy need the support of the BPP to put controls and to address the lapses that MDA’s make, pointing out that, Galaxy is a service provider agency which all MDAs need to patronize and make it a No 1. Point of call regarding data savings. The Executive Secretary was represented by the Executive Director, Customer Centrioty and Marketing, Hon. Segun Olulade.
In another development, the Ag. Director- General, BPP said Capacity Development is imperative to progress in the procurement sector. He made this known when a delegation from the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF), led by the Executive Secretary, Mohammed F. Sheidu, Paid him a Courtesy Visit in his office in Abuja.
He said that, the office is open for collaboration with NPTF on procurement capacity building. Adding that, the NPTF should avail themselves of the opportunity, by creating the atmosphere for proper management training, including staff. He pledged the support of the BPP in the area of procurement process as it relates to NPTF duties.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mohammed F. Sheidu said, the NPTF seeks potential collaborations and guidance to streamline the process of procurement and good working relationships with BPP and to explore partnerships in training officers under Police Procurement in NPTF, in line with the Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2007, to achieve better results and secure Nigeria.
