The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has reaffirmed its commitment to the wellbeing of Nigerian workers. This assurance was given by the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office, Mrs. Didi Walson Jack, mni, on Monday 23rdJuly, 2018 during the inauguration of the newly elected Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA) National Executives in Abuja.
Mrs. Didi Walson Jack encouraged workers to take advantage of the opportunities provided FEPSGA to engage in various sporting activities in order to keep fit in accordance with FEPSGA’s slogan ‘Fitness for Life’.
She therefore charged the newly elected Executives to work assiduously with the spirit of comradeship and consolidate achievements of their predecessors to take the Federation to the next level.
In her words ‘’I am confident that you have been elected based on your track records and dedication to the Federation’’.
Mrs. Walson Jack also commended the Electoral Committee and outgoing Executive of FEPSGA who served well and conducted transparent, free and fair election.
Responding on behalf of the newly elected executive, the National President Elect, Mr. Aluko Amaebi, thanked the Permanent Secretary for her unrelenting support for the Federation and promised to work together with Executive Members for the betterment of the Federation.
The Members of the National Executive are drawn from the Office of the Head of the Federal Civil Service of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), NationalLottery Trust Fund, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ministry of Communication,Supreme Court of Nigeria and National Assembly Service Commission.
The Elected Executive are to serve in an Executive capacity for the next four (4) years 2018-2022.
The Service Welfare Office is charged with the mandate to provide general guidelines for Service-wide issues on Occupational Health, Safety and Environment, promote and encourage social, cultural, recreation and sporting activities for the benefit of Public Servants.
