An Enugu-based real estate company, Powell Homes and Shelters Limited, has announced its readiness to embark on free medical and other philanthropic activities across host communities by 2025.
In a statement signed by the Director of Communication and Chief Media Consultant of the company, Mr. Sebastine Okafor, and sighted by newsmen on Tuesday, he stated that the firm, since it was established 2020, has been conducting free medical health programs for communities that host their businesses as part of its corporate social responsibility.
He explained that part of the activities includes the distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets, eye pressure checks, kidney and vital organ screenings, among other services.
According to Mr. Okafor, the communities selected for the outreach include Ama Nkanu, Ugwuaji, and Obeleagu Umana in Ezeagu, adding that the event is scheduled to take place in 2025.
“The initiative is aimed at enhancing the quality of life within our host communities. This is because Powell Homes and Shelters Limited is highly committed to positive community impact and well-being,” he said.
“We hope to foster long-term relationships with the communities that support us and contribute meaningfully to their health and welfare.”
“Our next outing will be at Ugwuaji, Ama Nkanu, and Obeleagu Umana in Ezeagu.”
“This will be done in the year, 2025.”
