Professor Extends Gratitude to PTAD and Womanhood

A retired professor of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Olusola Adebajo says a new Nigeria is possible if God gives the nation people with humane and helpful spirit.

He cited the Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) Sharon Ikeazor as an example. This comes in a letter of gratitude and encouragement to her for enabling him receive his arrears of pensions locked up for many years and gratuity held up for about seven years.

He retired from the university in 2009 as a professor of Yoruba language, and wrote from his home in Ago-Iwoye. In an adaptation from William Shakespeare, Prof Adebajo described PTAD’s Executive Secretary as “Mrs. Exchequer of the Poor”, and one who deserves gratitude so as to be empowered for future favours for those in need like himself.

Quoting American novelist and poet, Josiah Gilbert Holland, he said; Sharon Ikeazor demonstrated “strong mind, faith, will, honour” and, among those “who live above the fog in public duty and private thinking”

He recalled that given the speed with which she took up his case for rescue, he has been rebranded and refreshed, adding that the family will always remember her in prayers.
