Surveyor-General mourns Abba Kyari, says he was imbued with administrative tact

Abuja, April 22, 2020 (NAN) Mr Taiwo Adeniran, the Surveyor-General of the Federation, has commiserated with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of Malam Abba Kyari, his former Chief of Staff.

In a condolence message made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja, Adeniran described Kyari as “an accomplished technocrat that was imbued with administrative tact”.

“He had very rich educational and socio-cultural antecedent needed to help the government effectively pilot the affairs of our country. He was indeed a patriot,” he said.

Adeniran said that Kyari’s death would remain a great loss to the government and people of Nigeria and prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.

He also prayed that the Almighty would grant President Buhari, members of the Federal Executive Council and members of the deceased’s family the fortitude to bear the loss.

NAN reports that Kyari, 67, died on Friday, April 17, and was buried in Abuja on Saturday, April 18. (NAN)
