The theme of the discussion is Leveraging on regional trade as a pathway to growth and prosperity. Speaking on the theme of the event, Mr. Ayodele Adio, Managing Editor of The Avalon Daily, stated that “the Avalon Daily is looking at examining the state of Nigeria’s trade with neighboring countries and how much of an impact It could have on our collective economic development, especially in areas of improved living standards and eradicating poverty.”
He further noted that the event will interrogate the challenges government face in improving trade and proffer solutions that will accelerate intra Africa trade that will lead to massive economic growth.
Speaking at the event is Dr Adeyemi Dipeolu, SA to the president on Economy and Director of the Capacity Development Division of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. Others include Hon. Femi Saheed, Chairman House Committee on Central Business District, Mr. Warmate Idikio, Director General Yenogua Chamber of Commerce, Prof Isa Ahmed, among others.
