The Director General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, Engr. Chidi Izuwah today lent his voice to those of several other Nigerians in congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari and the good people of Nigeria on the successful reopening of the Akanu Ibiam Airport, Enugu.
In separate letters addressed to Mr. President, the Hon. Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika as well as the Managing Directors of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), he commended President Muhammadu Buhari as well as key stakeholders in the aviation sector for the strides achieved so far in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic.
According to him, “The reopening of the airport at this time would further enhance commercial activities in the eastern part of the country”. According to Izuwah, “The reopening of the airport, a major gatwway to the Eastern part of the country, would equally help to jump start the nation’s economy, reeling from the negative impact of the COVID 19 pandemic”.
