Akobundu calls on christians to be world changers through positive attitudes

The National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer, NEPAD Nigeria,

Princess Gloria Akobundu, has said that Christians suffer in life

because they fail to appreciate the enormous powers in the Word of

God by refusing to constantly praise Him in all situations and at all

times.

Princess Akobundu, who was speaking as Chief Host on the occasion

of the Annual Love Feast of the NEPAD Interdenominational Fellowship

Group, which was held today at NEPAD Nigeria in Abuja, called on

Christians to imbibe positive attitudes in all their affairs in life,

stressing that God has deposited in everyone all that we need to

succeed and that our constant attitudes of murmuring and fault-

finding are always the reason it appears God is far from us.

While describing attitude as key to both success and failure, the

NEPAD Nigeria boss enjoined members of the Fellowship to let the

Word of God be their guiding light always.

In her words: “Our attitude towards our fellow human beings, our jobs

and even with our leaders and those beneath us, like the gatemen,

portrays so much how we stand with God and how we can change the

world.

It doesn’t matter how long you carry the Bible, but affinity with

the Word is all we need. You must proclaim the Word at all times

and speak good things about your fellow man, about yourself, about

your spouse and about your children.

In fact, all your power lies in the spoken Word to change and bring to bear

whatever you desire in life”.

Earlier, while welcoming members to the occasion, the Coordinator

of the Group, Henry Enofu said the Annual Love Feast was an occasion

to thank God for His faithfulness in the ending year. He used the

occasion to enjoin members to continue to live lives that were pleasing

to God. Also speaking on the topic: Qualities of a Good Christian, Mr.

Charles Ofurunna identified such virtues as faith, long-suffering,

gratitude and belief in God as essential characteristics of a good

Christian life.

The occasion ended with praises, thanksgiving and sharing of various

kinds of food and drinks.
