New Secretary of Program (SOP) Assumes Duty in the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (OSSAP-SDGs)

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has welcomed the new Secretary of Program, Dr. Hassan K. Suleiman posted to her office recently in Abuja.

Dr. Suleiman took over from the former SOP Alh. Waziri Laminu, following the recent deployment of Directors in the pool of Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in a circular No. HCSF/CMO/002/S.I/T.3/II, dated 4th December, 2018.

Princess Adefulire, who briefed the new SOP on the activities of the office, said that the 17 goals of the SDGs are all geared towards development. She stressed that in the bid to achieve its mandate, the office is working with all stakeholders in the MDAs, private sector, manufacturing companies, the academia etc; making sure that ‘no one is left behind’.

She prayed for a harmonious working relationship with the new SOP.

In his remarks, the new SOP commits to work assiduously towards achieving the mandate and vision of the office, and solicits the support and cooperation of the entire workforce of the office.

The Legal Adviser, Mr. Smart Akande, who spoke on behalf of members of staff of the office, pledged total support to the new SOP and prayed for his (SOP’s) success in his present engagement.

In his career, Dr. Suleiman served different organizations in various capacities. He served as Director/Secretary to the Board of National Hospital, Abuja; Senior Consultant (Funds Management), Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF); Head of Secretariat, SURE-P, Director of Expenditure, Budget Office of the Federation (BoF); and Director, Human Resource Management and Administration, Office of the Head of Service of the Federation among others.
